Two Lucky Casino Guests Drove Away With a 2008 Jaguar XF

SALT RIVER PIMA-MARICOPA INDIAN COMMUNITY – Continuing the celebration of its 10th Anniversary, Casino Arizona gave away a 2008 Jaguar XFs at each of its locations to cap off the “Cash and Cars” promotion on June 17 and 19. On each night, four lucky winners were awarded cash prizes ranging from $510 - $2,010 and two winners drove home in a new Jaguar.

“We could not have asked for a better, more thrilling way to commemorate Casino Arizona’s 10th Anniversary,” said Ramon Martinez, marketing manager for Casino Arizona. “The Cash and Cars grand prize drawing was a huge hit with our guests and our employees. It reminded us why we work in this business, the joy of our guests. For us it’s rather simple, when our guests have fun, we do too!”

The excitement was palpable as hundreds of guests gathered for the grand prize, which doubled as a 10th Anniversary celebration. To mark the occasion, Casino Arizona employees passed out cupcakes, pins and anniversary shirts to eager guests as they anxiously waited for the final countdown.

Garfield Gariques of Phoenix was the first Jaguar winner on June 17 at Casino Arizona 101 & Indian Bend. If it were not for his wife, Sophia, Gariques may not have been there to see his name drawn for the car. After having already spent more than an hour at play, he was ready to go home, but Sophia wanted to stay. Both were shocked when his name was called.

When asked how he felt about his win, Gariques said, “I’m feeling good. I still think I’m dreaming.” Needless to say, he was glad his wife encouraged him to stay.
